Took a friend for her lunch, belated birthday pressie!!! Lovely food, fresh, hot and great choice, Wolviston is our favourite , only one complaint........where's the sticky toffee pudding gone??!! 33%off is a great saving. Was very busy when I visited with groups having Xmas meals. However, we were shown to our seats straight away. There was a queue to get served but this went down quickly. Food was good, as always. Hot and fresh. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Great food and plenty of it. For those whom like to get value for money, you can go back as often as you like. Coffee could be hotter. I would definitely recommend it to people. Slightly muddled as to why the Yorkshire pudding on a breakfast. Strange but true.
Not recommended at busy times.A queue to be served at the carvery can take around 20 minutes to get through on a Sunday. I think the place would benefit better with more staff and / or a return to traditional full table service without the carvery.Yes a carvery is"nice" but not with a long queue.
Very good grub. Nice pint. Always very busy so probably best to book online for a table. Recently been going down hill with the quality of the food and you can get a lot better food and service elsewhere but would still be happy to go back as it isn't unfairly priced. Place in general is very clean and tidy. Parking is okay but struggle to get parked at peak times. The beer garden is ok. Nothing flash just a few picnic benches on the patio but serves its purpose. Staff are generally nice however have had bad experiences in the past with hair in deserts and such like. That's why I had to give it 4 stars
